\nApply for an artist grant\n<\/h1>

Klitgaarden Refugium offers several artist grants each year, allowing professional artists to spend two weeks working in a peaceful, reflective, and inspiring environment. The grants cover all living expenses, including three daily meals prepared on-site using local ingredients. Artists will have access to shared facilities and the opportunity to work in one of the retreat's three studios. A small personal payment of DKK 200 per day is required.<\/p>\n

The grants are awarded based on applications assessed by a grant committee established by the Klitgaarden Foundation in collaboration with the Council of Danish Artists. The grant committee consists of three members appointed by the board, which is replaced periodically.\u00a0<\/p>\n

These grants are open to recognised artists in all art forms, including visual arts, literature, music, and performing arts. To be eligible, applicants must be members of one of the Council of Danish Artists' member organisations with the name of the artist organization or be able to demonstrate a similar artistic background.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Furthermore, please state whether you have previously had a scholarship stay at Klitgaarden and if so, when. You cannot receive the scholarship if you have had a similar stay at Klitgaarden within the past two years.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Applicants will receive a response no later than eight weeks after the deadline.<\/p>\n

If you are awarded one of the Klitgaarden Foundation's artist grants, you have one year to complete your stay. After that, the grant will be considered obsolete.<\/p>\n

If you have not been considered for an artist grant, an alternative is to apply for funding for a work stay yourself or to pay from your own funds. See here<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n
