The next application deadline is March 31, 2026.
An application must always be sent as a single PDF file of a maximum of five standard pages in total.
The application must include:
Indication of the type of art being applied for.
Information about which artist organization the applicant is a member of.
Information on whether the applicant has previously had a scholarship stay at Klitgaarden, and if so, when.
A brief project description
CV (maximum three standard pages)
Limited supporting material (e.g. text samples or image documentation)

Applicants will receive a response no later than eight weeks after the deadline. If you are not considered for one of Klitgaarden's artist grants, an alternative is to apply for funding for a work stay yourself or to pay through your own funds.
If you are lucky enough to be awarded one of the Klitgaarden Foundation's artist grants, we will then work together to find the right time for you to complete your stay. You have one year from the award to use the awarded artist grant at Klitgaarden. After that, it will lapse.
